Lucky Strike was named after a close shave with a bolt of lightning on a stormy afternoon in Brunswick.  The guitaristic opening motif came first and the rest of the piece grew from this material.  The idiomatic approach to guitar writing is inspired by guitarist/composer Ralph Towner.
